I almost went with a midwife practice but they're hard to come by and I opted for a local doc instead of Philly which is where I would have had to go to.
Ideally I'd love them, although I knew I wanted an epidural. They're with you the entire birth as opposed to the doc coming in to catch only. Although my nurses are amazing. But the midwives are more personal and will give you more control as to where, etc. You could also have a doula. Not a midwife but almost like a personal delivery support person who stays by your side the entire time but you'd still have your doc and nurses. Like professional, compassionate, experienced coaches in addition to your hubby. My sister had one with Colin and loved it. I never got around to getting one. :)
We met on Match.com, how new-age. We have a furbaby pup named Peeps. We are newlyweds, having owned our own home and lived in sin in it for over 4 years.
